Liz and Tom’s outdoor wedding at Sandy Cove Hotel was so laid back and so much fun. Here’s their awesome wedding!
Liz and Tom got married in autumn at the spectacular Sandy Cove Hotel, which is a stunning hotel in Devon. They had their ceremony on the grounds of the venue, which was great, because having everything in one venue meant more time for mingling. They chose Sandy Cove Hotel because of the amazing views and they could have the place for the whole weekend.
Liz got ready in one of the large suites, and the atmosphere was full of excitement. There were amazing views out over the ocean through the huge windows, which also let in lots of lovely soft window light. The bride and bridal party then walked the short distance to the ceremony.
The ceremony itself was an intimate affair on the clifftop overlooking the bay at Combe Martin. During the ceremony they had a string quartet playing and a beautiful reading from a relative. It was a real tear-jerker.
The drinks reception was in the hotel grounds with stunning views over Combe Martin bay and the North Devon coastline. I loved this part of the day. Watching everyone interact and congratulate the bride and groom. There was so much emotion.
The evening reception took place in a marque on the hotel grounds. They had an awesome live band and a popcorn trolley. The first dance was a romantic slow dance, and one of the bridesmaids joined the band for a cover of Mr Brightside by The Killers.
